How to Live an Easy Life
The world has got it all wrong.
Which means that you, too, my dear friend, probably have it all wrong, too.
We have learned (from parents, school, television, movies, advertisements, the media in general, anyone we've ever met) that life is tough, that the struggle is real, that money doesn't go on trees, that you've got to keep your nose to the grindstone, you've got to work, you've got to hustle, that hard work is something to boast about, to tout as some great proof of how worthy we are of love.
Well, that's all a bunch of rubbish.
Life is supposed to be easy. It's supposed to be fun! We're supposed to relax, to lay in the sand with our lover, get messy, eat lots of chocolate, and shriek with joy (okay, so maybe that's my version of easy, but you get my drift).
We weren't born on this grand and magical earth to worry about the best way to whiten our teeth, lose ten pounds, and avoid gluten like it ran over our kittens.
We are here, inhabiting these bodies, on this big, beautiful planet at this time to dance, shout, laugh, and to live an easy life.
Easy gets a bad rap.
Easy is where it's at. But you have to choose it. Your mindset creates your reality. Think easy thoughts. Breathe easy breaths. Move easily. Let yourself be carried away by life. It's okay. I give you permission.
